Wir haben den 31. August.

# I don't want you to find out you are okay without me.
“I don’t want you to find out you’re okay without me.” Adams said and couldn’t stand looking at Diana anymore. He was hurt, for sure, but also for her this whole thing was easy at all. Deep inside of her there was a voice, telling her, she should give him a second chance, just one last chance, to prove that his feelings were strong and that there were no feelings for the blonde girl, Cassie. Some very long seconds passed by and Adam dared to look at the girl again. Her face wasn’t as cold as it had been when she broke up with him and ever since. No, she seemed to be thinking. “Diana, please.” Adam’s voice was just a whisper, his voice seem to die. There was still hope, wasn’t there? The grill couldn’t resist anymore and a single tear ran down her left cheek. Slowly and carefully Adam whipped it away. “I don’t want to find out, too. But there is no other way, Adam. You need to understand…” At this point it was Diana’s Voice which seemed to die. “I don’t want to understand. I still love you more than everything else, Diana. I don’t love Cassie. I really love YOU. What my father said… It’s rubbish! Just because he loved Cassie’s Mum, I don’t have to love her. Please, just come with me to the Boathouse. We could have breakfast and talk about everything. I’m sure there’ll be a way.” the boy said, still looking at the girl he always loved. He was so desperate and felt lonely without her. After a while Diana finally nodded. “Okay…” This was the only word she said, but Adam smiled. He didn’t smile because he was really happy right now. He wasn’t, but he really had a chance right now. “Thanks.” He replied. Just this little word. He started the engine of his car again. Diana stared out of the window, but couldn’t see anything. She was so lost in her thoughts. Why? Why did she give him this chance? She couldn’t figure it out. For sure, she loved him. But he could have lied. What if? What if everything he told her was just a big lie? Some week ago she was able to tell every time Adam lied. But he seemed so far away now. All this depressing thoughts made the girl cry silently. She didn’t notice that Adam already stopped the car in front of the well-known building. “Diana?” His voice brought her back into reality. “Are you okay?” he asked and looked at her. “No… I mean… Yes. For sure.” She answered, but Adam couldn’t believe her. He realized that she had been crying, but didn’t dare to ask her why. Both of them got off the car and entered the Boathouse together. It seemed to be a very normal, boring morning in Chance Harbor. “Have a seat. I’ll make breakfast for us.” Adam told Diana and the girl just nodded, sat down and was lost in her thoughts again. Just some seconds had passed by. Love was such a confusing feeling… Adam tried to hurry up when he prepared the breakfast for them. Finally he sat down opposite to Diana and forced a smile. Still he wasn’t happy with this whole situation. “Diana… Look, I’m so sorry for what has happened and what my father told you. Is there any way to prove that I love you and not her? Just tell me, ‘cause all I want to do is prove it.” Adam began. All the time Diana was looking at him and the words were moving something inside of her. Somehow she knew that he was honest. In general he was an honest person, but in this very moment, Diana was sure, she could trust him. But she hadn’t got any answer. She didn’t know a way. “I… I don’t know, Adam.” She just told him and grabbed his hand. She wanted to feel his skin on hers like she felt it for so many times. “I just don’t know how you could prove it. But… I love you and I think you should get your chance. Can I really trust you? The way Cassie looks at you and you are looking at her… It’s painful for me Adam. Ever since we met her for the first time I have been afraid to lose you ad when Ethan told me… I couldn’t stand it. I’m just insecure, Adam. Too much happened.” Finally Diana was able to express all her feelings and told him the truth about it. Adam slowly nodded. “I know. It has been such a hard time for all of us. Nick’s dead. Everything goes wrong… But I think we can get through all this, if we stick together. Our love has always been so strong.” He told her and stood up, to get to her. Tears filled Diana’s eyes and he wanted to hold her just like he did for so many times. Diana had to admit that it was a good feeling to be in his arms again. “Everything will be okay.” Adam whispered. “I promise.”
